Hi Everyone!
We've finally gotten the digital software installed and it works! Here's
some photos that I thought you might enjoy.
There's a couple of Don, me and my little car. Two photos of an area called
Kaikoura, where the mountains come right down to the sea. It's one of my
favorite places and they have whales and tons of seals. Hopefully the next
time we pass through we'll be able to go whale watching.
I also took a couple of photos of the area that we live in, Dunedin, from 2
different look out points. The city is very pretty surrounded by high hills
and bordered by a harbour and the ocean. Also included is a photo of the old
train station, it's a gorgeous building.
Enjoy the photos and I'll be sending more as I get them. Hopefully they'll
make you want to come visit us, I've got your room ready!
Love to all,
Cindy

Photos from Cindy, November 2004
Taken at Kaikoura, which is a small village on the east coast of the South Island.

Also at Kaikoura. It used to be a whaling town about 6 hours north of where we live.
|
Here's Don with our car taken in front of where we live in Dunedin.
|
The Pacific ocean's in the background and part of south Dunedin.
|
The Dunedin Railway Station which opened in 1906.
It's only about 1 mile from where we live.
|
Dunedin, part of the Otago Pennisula, harbour and the ocean.
It was taken from the top of Mt. Cargill which is only 20 minutes from home.
It was a pretty day when we started, but the clouds rolled in by the time we'd reached the top.
The road at the top scared me to death and I don't think I'll go up again!
|
Another photo of Dunedin looking north to the harbour and the pennisula.
It was taken from a lookout 1 mile from the house.
As you can tell this place is pretty hilly!
