This book was put together by Susan Tollinger's Sunday School class to fully describe each of the windows located in the Cane Creek sanctuary. The Book entitled "God Is..."
This book includes some things the Sunday School students drew, made up, and their sermons. This project was culminated with a quilt that hangs today over the entrance to Cane Creek Church's Sancuary.
Church Officers and Teachers
This document identifies the current officers and committee members in the church. You can use this document to identify who to contact for information on how to become involved in the various mission efforts of Cane Creek Church. This document fully describes the purpose of each of the committees within Cane Creek Church. It also lists the membership of each of the committees. If you want to become involved, please contact any of the people listed!
Church Constitution
The founding of Cane Creek Baptist Church was a well thought through, much prayerfully considered move by the residents of our community. The Constitution reflects the consensus views that formed the nucleus of their core beliefs. Please feel free to look through this document that was recently ammended, and finally approved in June 2002.
Incorporation Bylaws
After much thought, Cane Creek Baptist Church became a corporation on April 23, 2006. The Bylaws adopted as part of that process were mostly an extension of the earlier bylaws. You can also read the form filed with the Secretary of State. If you wish, you can read the same document without signatures.
Church History
Cane Creek Baptist Church is one of the older churches in North Carolina dating back over 200 years. Recently, a compilation of rememberances, pictures, articles, and other documentation was made into a history of Cane Creek Baptist Church. This will be fascinating reading for not only folks you've lived here for years, but also for newcomers. You can take a look at the book as it's compiled. Policies and Procedures Manual
The Policies and Procedure Manual has gone through extensive review over the past year along with the Cane Creek Church Constitution. The effort was intended to bring both documents into alignment with how the church currently operates. The committee doing this work will bring this to the congregation for approval. With their work, it contains the operational "should" and "should not" considerations for how to (and not to do) several things at the church. This has not yet been reviewed or approved by the church members. It's placed here so that it will receive the widest possible review. The 2008 revision is here. Adopted Memorial Association Bylaws
This document spells out the purpose, rules and procedures relating to the use of the Cane Creek Cemetary.
Youth Permission Slip
This is here "just in case" one of the youth happens to forget to bring home a permission slip for parental signature.
Financial Statements
Each December the congregation adopts a budget for the coming year. Below are links to recent approved budgets so that you can see where our budgetary focus lies.
In late 2005, the Finance Committee thought that a good way to fully communicate the financial details to the church would be to provide detailed reports quarterly. These reports will be available in the church entryway and online. Below are links to reports over the past few quarters. Also included are other financial reports of note.
